Slash Returns to Rock in Roma

The Ippodromo delle Capannelle date marks a return to Rock in Roma, one of the major fixtures on the Italian summer concert calendar. The performance forms part of an extensive 2027 world tour taking Slash, Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators through North America and Europe.

By the time the band reaches Rome, Flying Blind will have been out for several months. Scheduled for release on February 26, 2027, it is the group's fifth studio album and follows 2022's 4. The title track was unveiled in October 2026 as the first new song from the record.

The album was recorded largely live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, a longtime collaborator who also worked on World on Fire and Living the Dream. The sessions feature the established SMKC line-up of Slash, Myles Kennedy, Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz and Frank Sidoris.

New Music and the SMKC Catalogue

The Flying Blind World Tour opens a new chapter for a partnership that has developed across more than 15 years. Slash and Myles Kennedy first began working together around Slash's solo career before establishing The Conspirators as a consistent recording and touring band.

Their catalogue now stretches from Apocalyptic Love through World on Fire, Living the Dream and 4 to the new Flying Blind. Tracks including “Anastasia,” “You’re a Lie,” “World on Fire” and “The River Is Rising” are among the songs closely associated with the group's previous records, while the 2027 tour provides the setting for material from the new album to become part of the live show.

Rather than a retrospective tour, the Rome concert comes during an active new album cycle, with Flying Blind at the centre of the band's 2027 plans.

Rock in Roma at Ippodromo delle Capannelle

The concert takes place at Ippodromo delle Capannelle, the long-established Rome venue that hosts major outdoor shows as part of Rock in Roma. Located on Via Appia Nuova, it has become closely associated with large-scale summer concerts in the capital.

Slash's June 13 appearance is part of the 2027 edition of Rock in Roma and follows the band's June 12 performance at Kozel Carroponte near Milan. From Rome, the European itinerary continues with further festival appearances and headline dates across the continent.
